Welcome to the CardioMyocyte Dynamics Lab (CMDL) website at San Diego State University (SDSU). The CMDL is an academic research lab located in the department of Biology at SDSU. The research of CMDL is focused on the investigation and analysis of cardiac muscle-cell contractility and relaxation.

The lab takes an interdisciplinary approach towards its research programme by collaborating with researchers and graduate students from different academic discplines and training backgrounds. As a result, many of our lab projects rely on the intersection between various disciplines including Cell & Molecular Biology, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Biophysics, and Engineering.
