Welcome to the CardioMyocyte Dynamics Lab (CMDL) website at San Diego State University (SDSU). The CMDL is an academic research lab located in the department of Biology at SDSU. The research of CMDL is focused on the investigation and analysis of cardiac muscle-cell physiology and contractility.

The lab incorporates an interdisciplinary approach towards its research efforts involving both researchers and graduate students stemming from different academic discplines and training backgrounds. As a result, many of our research projects rely on the interaction between Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, and Molecular Biology.
